Payment Facilitators and the Changing Face of Transaction Processing
Tuesday, January 16, 2018
at the offices of DWT
1251 Avenue of the Americas, 21st Floor, New York, NY 10020
If you’ve paid for your cappuccino on a coffee shop’s tablet, paid a Quickbooks invoice online, bought a ticket through Eventbrite or donated to Unicef, you’ve used a payment facilitator.
Payment Facilitators (PayFacs) like Square, Stripe, Intuit, and WePay have become billion dollar businesses and have changed the entire payment processing delivery model for consumers, merchants, banks and software providers. It has simplified getting a merchant account, created simpler pricing models, and helped merchants run their businesses more efficiently.
NYPAY is bringing experts in the field from transaction processing and fintech to discuss what PayFacs are and how the industry is rapidly evolving.
Start 2018 with a drink and typically good NYPAY conversation on about a little-discussed but increasingly important part of the payments world.
