President – David True
David True is the Managing Director of Broadly Curious Advisors, which consults on payments, loyalty and rewards, and mobile delivery channels. He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of payments and has worked in senior roles at American Express, MasterCard, and a European VC firm in addition to his roles. David writes widely on payments and mobile commerce, advises buy-side money managers on payments issues, works with multiple startups, and speaks frequently at industry events. David has a BA in English Literature and Composition from Binghamton University and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Vice President – Ronald Mazursky
Ron is Director of Strategic Initiatives at Jack Henry & Associates and leads the company’s internal business intelligence unit across all financial service business lines. Most recently, Ron ran the debit advisory practice at Mercator Advisory Group and was active in researching all aspects of “pay now” (debit) products and related services. Ron has held senior management and consulting positions earlier in his career with JPMorgan Chase, MasterCard Inc. and consultancies Edgar, Dunn and Co., Novantas, Market Innovations and Card Associates. He has worked with clients worldwide.
Ron’s corporate and consulting work has made him a strong generalist in payments, but has also led him to expertise with credit, debit and prepaid products, product development and management, service (benefits) development and management, rewards and loyalty, cobrand and affinity programs/partnerships, fraud issues/identity protection and authentication, new account generation, activation, retention, usage stimulation and profitability enhancements.
He is a payments industry thought leader, having led discussions at numerous payment conferences and participated as a moderator and speaker on industry panels, written numerous payment industry articles, taught Market Segmentation to bankers, and created data-based intellectual property combining consumer research and credit bureau profile data and leading to the development of predictive models. Ron has a BA in Psychology (Experimental) from Binghamton University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Ron is a Founder of NYPAY, the largest networking and educational association of senior payment executives and innovators based in the New York area and is currently a Board Member and Officer.
Secretary – Jim Shanahan
Jim Shanahan is the CEO of Prepaidian, a provider of reloadable Visa prepaid debit cards. Jim was the founder and CEO of Maverick Network Solutions, a provider of prepaid debit cards that was acquired by a Fortune 500 company and the founder and CEO of the first card processor in China. He has worked for several industry leaders, including American Express, JPMorgan Chase, MasterCard and MBNA America and the consulting firms Market Platform Dynamics and Business Dynamics. He holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a MBA from Columbia Business School.
Treasurer – Deborah Baxley
Deborah Baxley is an International mobile/cards payment consultant, recognized expert in the industry, creator of growth strategies for new and existing markets with more than 20 years’ experience consulting to cards and payment companies. Specializes in retail financial services, mobile payments, credit cards, technology strategy and business model development. Through work in fifteen countries, advised issuers, acquirers, networks and processors on product direction and competitive positioning, delivering millions of dollars in new revenue or operating cost savings. As board member of the Smart Card Alliance, member of the US Federal Reserve Faster Payments Taskforce, co-founder of NYPAY and through frequent keynote speaking and writing, recognized for insights on the future of retail payments. Director of Marketing Strategy – David Gerbino
David Gerbino is a FinTech, bank, and data-driven marketing consultant. He spends his spare time mentoring and advising FinTech startups. He is also a proud charter member of the @FinTechMafia. In December 2015, David was included on three FinTech influencer lists:

Previously, David spent nearly ten years at Provident Bank NY (now Sterling National Bank) where he led database and digital marketing. David writes about FinTech, banking, payments and various data-driven marketing disciplines. He also occasionally speaks at industry events and conferences.
Board Member – Brion Bonkowski
Brion is a business leader in the payments and technology space. He is the founder and CEO of Tern, a company created to help brands launch global prepaid and stored value programs through its SPAN platform. SPAN covers user experience (UX), compliance, identity verification, and cross-border remittance. Brion also serves as the Managing Director of ROIPayments, a NYC-based tech consultancy and holds a number of executive and board appointments in the technology, payments, and nonprofit sectors. Brion has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro 5 times and in 2013 was appointed Chairman of the Kilimanjaro Initiative USA, a non-profit organization. In 2017, Brion was invited to become a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Council, a global network of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs 40 and younger.
Board Member – Christienne Genaro
Christienne Genaro is an independent payment consultant, focusing on strategy, business development and implementation of priority initiatives for clients across the payments value chain. Prior to founding her own company, Christienne was the Payments Industry Specialist at Sanford C. Bernstein, LLC, where she researched and co-wrote over 100 pieces for investors focused on Visa, MasterCard and potential technological and regulatory disruptions in the payments industry. Earlier, Christienne held senior roles at MasterCard, including SVP/Group Head of Strategy & Market Development for the U.S. Region. Christienne started her career in payments at American Express. Christienne earned her BA in International Relations at Brown University and her MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business
